Day 11

20140712T222025 Importance of Goal If you want to reach a goal, you must 'see the reaching' in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal. - Zig Ziglar Why Goals are important in life? Here is a story, that I've shared from a book. Read It. On the best sunny day, the most powerful magnifying glass will not light paper if you keep moving the glass. But if you focus and hold it, the paper will light up. That is the power of concentration. A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, "Where does this road take me?" The elderly person asked, "Where do you want to go?" The man replied, "I don't know." The elderly person said, "Then take any road. What difference does it make?" How true. When we don't know where we are going, any road will take us there. Suppose you have all the football eleven players, enthusiastically ready to play the game, all charged up,

Day 10

20141107T201504 Benefits of Reading A man only learns in two ways, one by reading, and the other by association with smarter people. - Will Rogers   I'm fond of reading, I always like to learn some new thing from books. I've shared one article from Readers Digest.    Reading gives muscle to your memory. Reading gives your brain a different kind of workout than watching TV or listening to the radio. Whether you’re absorbed in a page-turner or simply scanning an instruction manual for your coffee maker, “parts of the brain that have evolved for other functions—such as vision, language, and associative learning—connect in a specific neural circuit for reading, which is very challenging," Ken Pugh, PhD, president and director of research of Haskins Laboratories, told Oprah magazine. The habit spurs your brain to think and concentrate.

Day 9

20141007T201918 Learning from Mistakes Even a mistake may turn out to be the one thing necessary to a worthwhile achievement. - Henry Ford   Here is an story of a scientist, that he shared with media. So, Today I shared, an interesting interview. This is a story about a famous research scientist who had made several very important medical breakthroughs. He was being interviewed by a newspaper reporter who asked him why he thought he was able to be so much more creative than the average person. What set him so far apart from others? He responded that, in his opinion, it all came from an experience with his mother that occurred when he was about two years old. He had been trying to remove a bottle of milk from the refrigerator when he lost his grip on the slippery bottle and it fell, spilling its contents all over the kitchen floor — a veritable sea of milk ! When his mother came into the kitchen, instead of yelling at him, giving him a lecture, or punishing him, she

Day 8

20140709T221144 The Greatest Artist We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls. - Mother Teresa Today, I read a beautiful poem, that I'ld like to share with you. Here is poem, feel it, experience it. God is the greatest artist To whom no one can compare, Streaking sunsets very beautiful, Painting rainbows in the air. Brushing green the hillside scene, Blotting blue the sky above, Splashing flowers ‘cross the ground beneath, Shading white clouds with His glove. Of the wonders God has made There is none that is so fair As the smile He paints upon your face When you realize He’s there.

Day 7

20140708T194456 Have Faith in Yourself First If faith in ourselves had been more extensively taught and practiced, I am sure a very large portion of the evils and miseries that we have would have vanished. - Swami Vivekananda   I am very much inspired from Swami Vivekananda, so I shared a topic from a book. Have faith in you.   If you can think that infinite power, infinite knowledge and indomitable energy lie within you, and if you can bring out that power, you also can become like me. Infinite patience, infinite purity, and infinite perseverance are the secret of success in a good cause. It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thoughts make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light. Know that every time you feel weak, you not only hurt yourself but also the cause. Infinite faith and strength are the only conditions of success. Let people say whate

Day 6

20140707T195059  Life is a Gift Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored. - Earl Nightingale Reading an e-book, I've found some beautiful lines. Life is a gift, every second, every minute, every hour is precious. Why do we waste it. Celebrate each moment of life & Be Happy. Read it.   Today before you think of saying an unkind word– think of someone who can’t speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food– think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife– think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion. Today before you complain about life– think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before you complain about your children– th

Day 5

20140706T171600 Don't Lose Hope The only use of an obstacle is to be overcome. All that an obstacle does with brave men is, not to frighten them, but to challenge them. - Woodrow Wilson Readout stories of famous persons. Their stories stress one of the most important lessons of all: Never ever give up. Bill Gates' first business failed. Yes, the richest person in the whole world couldn't make any money at first. Gates' first company, Traf-O-Data (a device which could read traffic tapes and process the data), failed miserably. When Gates and his partner, Paul Allen, tried to sell it, the product wouldn't even work. Gates and Allen didn't let that stop them from trying again though. Here's how Allen explained how the failure helped them: " Even though Traf-O-Data wasn’t a roaring success, it was seminal in preparing us to make Microsoft’s first product a couple of years later ."     Albert Einstein didn't speak until he was

Day 4

20140705T154255 Hospital Window The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. - Helen Keller While reading a book I found one interesting suspense story. I'm sure you will like this story. What a noble thought of the writer! Read it.     Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those

Day 3

20140704T201050 7 Great Quotations   The wisdom of the wise, and the experience of ages, may be preserved by quotation. - Isaac D'Israeli   Whenever I'm confused or in tough times, I always used to read quotes from books. I've a collection of quotes. I would like to share with you seven quotes that motivate me in my work. Here are my seven favorite quotes. 1. If you born poor, its not your mistake, but if you die poor, its your mistake…! 2. Born with personality is an accident, but dying in a personality is an achievement…! 3. Your birth may be normal, but your death should be history…! 4. Follow none, but learn from everyone…! 5. Practice like a devil and play like an angel…! 6. Do or die is an old concept, do it before die is a new concept…! 7. Like all, trust few…!

Day 2

20140703T203150 Be Optimistic Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. - Helen Keller   Today I read a Poem, that I would like to share. Poems, like paintings, can take the intangible and put it in a form that is fun to digest. Feel It. Be optimistic in your life, Believe that things will go your way, And if you need a little help, Take some time and pray. You need to have positive thoughts, The negative needs to leave, And if you think long enough, You truly will believe. So you did think good thoughts, And being optimistic made things right, And it was all because, You saw the light.
